Skills power VR app won a bronze medal

In the impressive competition of numerous finished products, innovations and new technologies from almost all areas of human work, the ARCA 2021 international judging panel awarded the bronze medal to the VR Forklift application as a confirmation of the importance of modern technology and innovation in socially responsible business and the improvement of skills and knowledge of all groups of society.

"The application and VR tool were created on the basis of the winning VR simulation Forklift VR, by Tomislav Marković and Andrej Lukić, which won first place at the Novska Virtual Skills VR Game Jam in PISMO powered by A1. Forklift VR is a simulation of driving a forklift in virtual reality, for which Gamechuck also made a special VR tool.

"By copying the control interface from a real forklift, we provide the participants of the training course with the most convincing driving experience possible so that the adaptation to the model of the forklift, which they will drive in practical work, is as short as possible.

We 'drive' the control interface with the Gamechuck Arcade Controller, originally made for our arcades cabinets. This shows the versatility of the device, which was conceived from the beginning to enable as wide a range of possible configurations as possible.

This is how we shortened the development time for future applications, whether it is a different model of a forklift, a crane or a motor plane," said Igor Kolar. , co-founder of Gamechuck and lead designer of the Gamechuck Arcade Controller tool and the Forklift VR application.

Namely, by using VR technology for the purpose of education for the position of forklift driver, the education process opens up and creates new opportunities and positive social impacts.

In such a technologically new way, we are breaking down obstacles in education, employment and finally achieving the quality of life of low-educated people on the labor market.

Most importantly, we enable this type of upskilling for people who are unable to physically attend trainings and for people who have social or geographical obstacles to training or specialization.

Additionally, the use of VR technology for the majority of the training process significantly reduces the possibility of injuries during training and damage caused to equipment or space intended for training. In this sense, it is an innovative process with a significant social, security, educational and social impact.

In a commercial sense, such applications will be able to greatly accelerate the response of the labor market to changes in industries and thus improve the competitiveness of companies, as well as of the workers themselves.

After the success and presentation of the VR Forklift concept at the mentioned exhibitions, the Gamechucks announce the commercial presentation of the finished application for the beginning of 2022. In addition to the simulation of forklift driving, similar concepts await us in catering as well as logistics.
