Senior Accountant

Manpower Croatia for Client, is looking for an ideal candidate to fill in the position of Senior Accountant (m/f).

Job description:

• Verification and posting of incoming and outgoing invoices according to applicable regulations and the requirements of the Company and its affiliated entities
• Posting and calculation of costs and revenues
• Maintaining the fixed assets register, conducting year-end asset inventory, and posting depreciation
• Posting all changes that affect the true representation of the Company and its affiliated entities, such as exchange rate differences, adjustments, and similar
• Compliance with statutory deadlines for the preparation and submission of forms for reporting to government authorities, such as VAT returns, all according to predetermined deadlines
• Contact with government authorities (e.g., FINA, Tax Administration, etc.) and banks to ensure business continuity in case of changes in legal regulations or business adjustments
• Preparation of general ledgers for reporting, period closing according to predefined deadlines, and assistance during the annual business settlement
• Communication with leasing companies
• Working on new projects as instructed by the Company/superior
• Supporting the Chief Accountant in all tasks for which they are responsible, and substituting for the Chief Accountant in their absence

Requirements:

• High school degree, preferably university degree
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in similar accounting positions
• Advanced MS Office knowledge, especially MS Excel
• English knowledge
